Welcome to the ASYMCA Early Learning Program! As early educators, we are committed to providing spaces where children will learn and grow while they play, explore, and interact with the world around them. Our program uses a combined approach of ELM, Heggerty, and Pocket of Preschool for our curriculum. We also use the social and emotional support of Conscious Discipline.

Enrollment for the 2025-26 school year is April 1-22 for families currently enrolled in ASYMCA Early Learning Programs. Registration for all other families opens May 1, 2025, and will run through March 2026.

Who is eligible?

Military children who will be ages 3 and 4 by September 1 are invited to enroll in our early learning programs.

What do ASYMCA early learning programs offer?

Armed Services YMCA offers affordable, accessible, high-quality child care services and preschool programs for military children. Our trained, dedicated, and caring staff prepare children for future success by teaching social skills, creativity, literacy, and fine and gross motor skills.

Where are ASYMCA's early learning programs located?

The ASYMCA of Alaska offers two early learning program locations.

JBER: Our early learning program is located in Building 690 next to the Buckner Fitness Center on the Soda & S’mores side of the parking lot.
Fairbanks Area: Our early learning program is located in the Baker Field House at 3301 Broadway Ave. on Eielson Air Force Base.

When is the program offered?

Care and learning is offered September–May. Three-year-old students meet two times a week. Four-year-old students meet three times a week.

How much is tuition and what's the enrollment process?

2025-26 Monthly Tuition:

Age 3: $125/month (2 days a week; Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Age 4: $175/month (3 days a week; Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)

Application deadline:

Families Currently Enrolled in ASYMCA Early Learning: April 1-22, 2025
All Other Families: May 1, 2025 through March 2026

Selection date: Families will be notified on their enrollment status starting the week of June 23, 2025.

Program begins:

3s Class: Starts September 2, 2025
4s Class: Starts September 3, 2025

Programs runs through May 2026. Talk with your teacher for your program’s end date.

When accepted into the program, a $50 registration fee will be collected.

Applications will be taken through the date listed above. The Education Director will notify selected families. Families selected for the program must attend an orientation.
