Popsicles in the Park – Eielson AFB

Join the ASYMCA team each week of an afternoon fun summer play! Each week, we will be at a different park, ready to share the simple joy of a summer popsicle while meeting our wonderful military families. Weekly park locations can found on alaska.asymca.org. This is a drop-in program, no registration needed.

  • Who: Active duty military and currently serving families
  • Time: Wednesdays from 2:00–3:00 p.m.

Family Night at the Goldpanners Game

Bring the family out for a fun evening cheering on the Alaska Goldpanners! Enjoy exciting baseball action, classic ballpark
vibes, and quality time together at the game. Cost include admission, chips, drink, and choice of hot dog or hamburger.

Early Learning Picnic – Eielson AFB

An outdoor picnic for early learning families to connect, meet the teachers, and get to know one another.

  • Time: 4:00–7:00 p.m

Salmon Fishing Day Trip with Mark Glassmaker

Fish for salmon on the Kenai River! We’ll take a powerboat to productive gravel bars where guides will provide hands-on instruction on how to fish for and catch salmon, care for your catch, identify fishing spots, and tie basic knots. Alaska fishing license required. Transportation and lodging not provided.

Military Spouse Summer Camp

Rest and recharge with fellow military spouses at an overnight getaway! Activities include kayaking, canoeing, archery, guided hikes, yoga, and more. Meals and snacks are provided. A special thank you to our partners, ConocoPhillips Alaska and Wounded

  • Who: Female spouses of active duty military currently stationed in Alaska
  • Location: Camp Fire Alaska’s Camp K on Kenai Lake
  • Date: July 31–August 2
  • Cost: $100 per camper
